Redfin is not our first choice as our real estate agent. My younger brother talked to other agents from two different companies, but I suggested that we can probably try meeting Redfin's agents.

I found their website: https://www.redfin.com/ very convenient to use. If you're a buyer, it allows you to save your home search, see your home tours, offers, agents, reviews and owner's dashboard. You can also download their mobile application.

I really like this page because I can track the status of our documents/tasks. I didn't have to call my agent every time I want to know something. It really helped me in reviewing and viewing the new documents(inspections, settlement, etc.) for our offer. We sent our offer in January 30, and we had our closing in March 16, 2017.

Since it's winter, the house is cheaper than any other season. This house had been in the market for almost a year. The seller's price is above $300K at first, so no one really bought it until January 2017 when I and my younger brother gave the offer(the seller lowered the price). We heard from our agent that there's another buyer, and for us to get the house, he suggested we should not lower the price, but instead let the seller pay the closing costs(a five digit). In the end, we got the house.

The day before closing

Since there's no one living at the house, no one cleaned the driveway until the closing. The ice was hard as stone, and really hard to dig it out.
